  • Support installation, modification and commissioning of new equipment
  • Carry out fault finding and basic PLC diagnostics where required
  • Identify recurring faults and recommend improvements to improve reliability
  • Complete maintenance records and documentation accurately
  • Work closely with the production team to keep the plant operating efficiently
  • Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and housekeeping at all times

What We're Looking For

  • Recognised Engineering qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent experience
  • Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
  • Previous experience within manufacturing, heavy industry or a similar production environment
  • Confident electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Experience with motors, inverter drives, control panels and mechanical systems
  • Good understanding of safe working practices
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of engineering issues
  • Reliable and comfortable working a 4-on / 4-off, 12-hour shift pattern

Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:

  • Conveyors
  • Bucket elevators
  • Screw conveyors
  • Material handling systems
  • Hydraulic systems
  • PLC-controlled equipment
  • Basic PLC fault finding
  • Plant installation and commissioning
  • Concrete products, aggregates, quarrying or other heavy manufacturing environments

What's on Offer

  • £15 - £17 per hour
  • 4 days on / 4 days off
  • 06:00 18:00 days only
  • No night shifts
  • Temp to perm opportunity or permanent position
  • Overtime opportunities
  • Training and development

Please note: The role involves working a 4-on / 4-off, 12-hour days-only shift pattern, so candidates must be comfortable with these hours.
