Job Description

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Divisional Communications Lead for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in New York, NY.
Seeking a Divisional Communications Lead to support Cyber, Data, Risk & Resilience (CDRR), a global Technology division operating at the intersection of cybersecurity, data, technology risk, fraud, and non-financial risk. This role is responsible for translating complex cyber, risk, resilience, and technology topics into clear, audience-appropriate communications that inform, engage, and influence employees, senior leaders, and key stakeholders across the Firm. This role reports to the CDRR Chief of Staff.
This is a high-execution, content-heavy communications role. The successful candidate will not only help shape communications strategy but will also own the day-to-day delivery of communications from concept through distribution: drafting, editing, stakeholder review, approval routing, calendar management, channel execution, quality control, and post-send follow-up. The role supports a broad portfolio of communications including executive messages, organizational announcements, divisional newsletters, Firmwide and Technology-wide risk communications, cyber awareness content, employee engagement campaigns, Open Forum / town hall communications, intranet content management, and major multi-week internal threat awareness campaigns.
Responsibilities:
Communications Strategy & Planning
  • Lead planning and execution of CDRR's communications portfolio, translating divisional priorities into audience strategy, messaging, channels, timing, and approvals aligned with Technology-wide and Corporate Communications standards.
  • Maintain a forward-looking calendar and editorial cadence across newsletters, executive communications, campaigns, Open Forums, and risk/cyber awareness content, managing multiple concurrent workstreams at varying lifecycle stages.
  • Maintain audit-ready approval trails, version control, and distribution records.
Content Development & Editorial Production
  • Own the full content lifecycle for assigned communications: intake, drafting, editing, factchecking, stakeholder review, approvals, quality control, distribution, and archiving.
  • Draft and edit executive communications for CDRR senior leaders - organizational announcements, leadership memos, and sensitive or high-visibility messaging - partnering with Chiefs of Staff and SMEs to validate content.
  • Produce a high volume of communications across formats - emails, newsletters, alerts, memos, intranet posts, and campaign copy - and own recurring newsletters such as "We Are CDRR," the bi-monthly newsletter for the global divisional audience.
  • Apply rigorous quality control - proofreading, link checks, distribution-list validation, sender verification - and drive review/approval workflows across CDRR leadership, Technology Communications, and Corporate Communications before any broad distribution.
Campaign & Firmwide Communications
  • Drive communications execution for major CDRR and Technology/Firmwide threat awareness initiatives, including building campaign plans, tracking dependencies, and coordinating Creative Services and other stakeholders through completion.
  • Lead or support communications to CDRR, Technology-wide, or Firmwide audiences, including cyber/information security alerts and policy communications, partnering with SMEs to translate complex technical topics into clear, actionable messaging.
Stakeholder Management & Governance
  • Serve as the central coordination point across CDRR, Technology Communications, Corporate Communications, divisional leadership, and SMEs, supporting recurring forums to align messaging, manage cadence, and resolve competing priorities.
  • Maintain editorial standards, templates, runbooks, and repositories to support consistent, repeatable execution, and ensure appropriate review, approval, and confidentiality handling across all communications.
Employee Engagement & Events
  • Support communications for the quarterly CDRR Open Forums and other engagement events - drafting and distributing invitations, agendas, and follow-ups, and coordinating logistics with event owners and CDRR leadership.
  • Support communications governance for external recognition, awards, and other divisional management activities, coordinating submissions and related content with relevant stakeholders.
Metrics, Continuous Improvement & Innovation
  • Track readership, participation, and campaign performance to refine cadence, format, and channel strategy, conducting post-send/post-campaign reviews to improve future communications.
  • Identify and implement AI, automation, and agent-based tools to improve communications workflows, partnering with Technology teams to pilot and scale solutions that enhance productivity and consistency.
Required Skills:
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and editorial judgment - able to draft polished executive communications, newsletters, alerts, and campaign copy, and to identify the right message, audience, tone, and channel under time pressure.
  • Ability to translate technical cyber, technology risk, data, fraud, and resilience topics into clear, actionable messaging for audiences with varying levels of technical fluency.
  • Strong command of brand and editorial standards, adapting voice and tone by audience while safeguarding consistency with Firm, Technology, and CDRR identity guidelines.
  • Strong execution discipline and process management, owning communications end-to-end - intake, drafting, approvals, distribution, archiving, and follow-up - with high attention to detail, including proofreading, factchecking, and link/sender validation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, including the ability to coordinate and build trust across senior leaders, SMEs, Technology and Firmwide communications functions, and global partners.
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced, matrixed, global environment, managing competing priorities and shifting timelines across multiple active deliverables.
  • Ability to work with discretion and sound judgment, particularly when handling sensitive organizational, regulatory, cyber, risk, or leadership communications.
  • Comfort with metrics and continuous improvement, including the ability to interpret engagement data and channel performance to refine future communications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools, including M365 Copilot, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, and related content-management platforms; comfort working with AI and agent-based tools used across existing divisional workflows.
  • Experience with internal, executive, or change communications in a large, complex organization; financial services, Technology, cybersecurity, risk, regulatory, or other highly controlled environment experience preferred.
