Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MES IT Coordinator to support the implementation, deployment, and ongoing support of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) within a regulated manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary liaison between manufacturing operations, site IT, global MES teams, infrastructure, ERP teams, vendors, and offshore support teams to ensure successful MES implementation and operational excellence.

This role requires a combination of MES functional knowledge, application support leadership, manufacturing process understanding, stakeholder management, incident management, and project coordination.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end MES implementation activities from requirements gathering through go-live and hypercare.
  • Act as the primary IT contact between manufacturing, quality, validation, infrastructure, ERP, and Global MES teams.
  • Manage MES support activities including L2/L3 issue coordination, incident management, and problem resolution.
  • Coordinate business requirements, functional discussions, and process improvements.
  • Support business process reengineering and MES template adoption across manufacturing sites.
  • Track project risks, issues, dependencies, action items, and readiness activities.
  • Coordinate testing activities including UAT, SIT, validation, and production readiness.
  • Support infrastructure readiness including shop floor devices, barcode scanners, printers, terminals, and network connectivity.
  • Coordinate MES documentation including SOPs, Work Instructions, User Guides, and Training Materials.
  • Drive stakeholder communication throughout implementation and support lifecycle.
  • Support change management, release management, and production deployments.
  • Manage application support metrics, SLA compliance, RCA, and continuous service improvement.
  • Coordinate with offshore support teams and third-party vendors.
  • Lead critical incident management and customer escalations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Life Sciences, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Experience coordinating MES implementation projects within manufacturing environments.
  • Experience providing L2/L3 Application Support.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and shop floor processes.
  • Experience with Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working with global and offshore delivery teams.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Medical Devices, or Biotech manufacturing.
  • Experience with MES platforms such as:
    • Siemens Opcenter
    • Werum PAS-X
    • Rockwell PharmaSuite
    • Emerson Syncade
    • Apriso
    • Camstar
  • Experience supporting ERP integrations (SAP preferred).
  • Knowledge of CSV (Computer System Validation), GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11.
  • Experience with manufacturing automation environments
