Job Description
KBR is expanding its Configuration Management capability and seeking experienced Configuration Management professionals to play a key role in delivering some of Australia's most critical Defence programs. This is an opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of complex capability programs spanning Maritime, Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO), Electronic Warfare, and Land domains. You will be central to ensuring configuration integrity, traceability, and control throughout the full lifecycle-from acquisition and design through to sustainment and in service support. Operating within highly governed Defence environments, you will collaborate closely with engineering, project, and delivery teams to manage change, maintain critical baselines, and support the assured delivery and sustainment of Defence capability.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement configuration management (CM) frameworks, plans, and processes
- Manage configuration baselines, change control, and status accounting activities
- Maintain accurate and controlled records of configuration items across complex systems
- Coordinate and assess change requests, including impacts to cost, schedule, and technical performance
- Support design reviews, audits, and verification activities
- Ensure alignment with relevant standards, governance requirements, and best practice CM principles
- Partner with engineering, project, and commercial teams to support integrated delivery
- Contribute to data integrity and system traceability across the program lifecycle
- Support reporting, assurance, and stakeholder engagement activities
- Experience in Configuration Management within complex project environments (Defence, government, infrastructure, or similar)
- Strong understanding of configuration control, change management, and lifecycle data management principles
- Experience supporting acquisition and/or sustainment programs is desirable
- Familiarity with CM tools- CMPTL, Team Centre, systems, and structured governance frameworks
- Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder groups
- High attention to detail with strong documentation and process discipline
- Relevant qualifications in engineering, project management, or a related discipline are advantageous.
- Must have an active Baseline or NV1 security clearance and be an Australian citizen to be eligible to apply.
