Job Description
You'll be responsible for ensuring the ongoing operation, support and maintenance of the company Villages & Aged Care (BVAC) applications. The role is critical to maintaining stable, secure and standardised application services that support frontline operations, clinical and business processes, and a consistent customer and employee experience for BVAC.
The role ensures the effective configuration, administration and continuous improvement of BVAC applications and their integrations, enabling reliable service delivery and supporting operational, clinical, reporting and compliance requirements.
This role also provides advice and recommendations to business stakeholders seeking to leverage application capability, process improvements and data insights, while supporting Technology and business teams with BAU, incident resolution, enhancement and project activities across BVAC application landscape.
What you'll be doing- Set the strategy and roadmap for the company's engineering platform and ensure it remains secure, scalable, and supportive of diverse engineering needs.
- Lead, mentor, and empower a high performing team of DevOps, Platform, and Automation Engineers across multiple streams.
- Enable self service capabilities that simplify workflows, reduce friction, and offer teams more autonomy and confidence across the SDLC.
- Embed secure by default practices through user friendly tooling, guardrails, and automated compliance controls.
- Support and uplift standards across CI/CD, test automation, observability, and environment provisioning.
- Track and improve engineering performance metrics (e.g., DORA metrics, deployment reliability) to enhance developer experience and productivity.
- Collaborate closely with leaders across Engineering, Product, Cloud, Cyber, and Architecture to ensure alignment with organisational goals. Oversee budgets, workforce planning, and vendor partnerships to ensure sustainable delivery and growth.
- Manage governance and lifecycle management of SDLC tooling and platform services.
- Foster a positive, inclusive engineering culture centred on craftsmanship, continuous learning, wellbeing, and a great developer experience.
- Demonstrated experience in application support, systems administration or technology service delivery roles, preferably within a complex operational or care environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage onboarding, transition and change activities for technology applications and associated business processes.
- Ability to coordinate and manage activities required to ensure operational standards, controls, and service expectations are met.
- Intermediate skills in MS Office products (including MS Project, PowerPoint, Word and Excel) and SharePoint (including site page management)
- Compelling communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in a facilitator or coaching role, responsible for improving skills for customer facing people.
- Demonstrated ability to build credibility and rapport with a wide range of participants and stakeholders.
- Strong experience managing group dynamics.
- Experience in the dental industry highly desirable.
- Proven project management skills to enable the transition/onboarding of PMS applications.
- Proficiency with service management tools and processes.
