Job Title: Sr Developer Integration - OIC

Location: Irvine, CA (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 Months CTH

Experience level: 10+ years

Interview process: 2 internal and 2 client (Final round of client interview is likely to be in-person)

Purpose of the Job:

The Sr. Integration Developer – OIC & plays a key role in the enterprise integration team, responsible for designing and building integration solutions and APIs using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and Anypoint Platform. This role ensures that multiple systems—cloud and on-premise—communicate reliably, securely and efficiently. The Sr. Integration Developer will work under the guidance of architect/principal roles, participate in defining and applying integration standards, and deliver reusable integration assets that support business processes and digital initiatives.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop integration solutions – Build integrations, APIs, and data flows between enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, HCM, data platforms) using OIC and ; translate functional/business requirements into technical design and deliver high-quality solutions. – 60%

  • Implement APIs & integration patterns – Develop REST services, implement API-led connectivity, apply integration patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, batch, event-driven) and ensure performance, scalability and security of integration solutions. – 20%

  • Collaboration and requirements translation – Work closely with business analysts, architects and application teams to understand integration requirements, define interface designs, document data mappings and jointly perform technical feasibility and impact analysis.– 10%

  • Support, monitor and optimize integration runtime – Assist in platform monitoring, incident resolution, performance tuning, root-cause analysis of integration failures, follow-up with corrective actions and ensure integration solutions run reliably.– 5%

  • Adopt and support integration standards & best practices – Contribute to the development and usage of reusable artifacts (connectors, templates, patterns), follow CI/CD and version control practices for integration deployments, maintain documentation and assist in mentoring less-experienced developers. – 5%

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Typically 5-8 years of hands-on experience in enterprise integration development (or equivalent) working with middleware, APIs and/or integration platforms.

  • Proven experience with either OIC or —or ideally both—in implementing integrations in hybrid cloud/on-premise environments.

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering integration projects (API design, data flows, application connectivity) in enterprise settings.

  • Exposure to designing data transformations, mapping, error handling, monitoring and operational support of integration flows.

Knowledge and skill level:

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of integration lifecycle concepts: API management, message queuing/messaging, transformation, orchestration, scheduling, error handling.

  • Practical experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC): building integrations using adapters, process automation, cloud-to-on-premise connectivity.

  • Practical experience with Anypoint Platform: designing and building APIs, connectors, integration flows, applying API-led connectivity patterns.

  • Good understanding of web services (REST, SOAP), data formats (JSON, XML), API security standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT), and integration protocols (AS2, SFTP, MQ, HTTPS) and hybrid architectures.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (for example OCI, AWS), hybrid deployment models, and DevOps/CI-CD pipelines for integration delivery.

  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills: able to diagnose integration failures, analyze logs/traces, optimize flows, ensure reliability and performance.
