Job description

IDR is seeking a Puppet & Cloud Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia. This role involves architecting and maintaining hybrid cloud and on-premise infrastructure, with a focus on Puppet configuration management, automation, and cloud services across AWS and Google Cloud. The company operates within a highly technical, environment-driven industry, emphasizing operational excellence and scalable solutions.
Position Overview for the Puppet & Cloud Engineer:

Responsible for designing, automating, securing, and maintaining infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms and on-premise environments.
Focuses heavily on Puppet configuration management, automation pipelines, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
Collaborates on building unified automation patterns, ensuring compliance, and operational efficiency.
Manages complex systems and provides Tier 3 support for Linux and Windows infrastructure.
Automates provisioning, patching, and recovery processes across hybrid environments.

Requirements for the Puppet & Cloud Engineer:

10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, systems automation, or infrastructure engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with Puppet (master/agent architecture, module development, automation pipelines).
Production experience with AWS and Google Cloud Platform.
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling.
