Job Description

Title: Controls Engineers / Robotics Engineer Roles Commissioning & Startup

Ideal Start Date: ASAP week of August 17

Duration: August 17 December 31, 2026, with strong potential for extension; the client has a heavy project load and can keep people busy well beyond the initial scope

+ hours/ Locations: Sumter, SC and Cranberry, PA (on-site)

Work Schedule: 55week expected, including overtime

Project Details:

Our client, an automation solutions integrator, needs hands-on controls and robotics support to bring two active projects across the finish line.

Sumter, SC final commissioning at a magnet production facility. Three stations remain, including two near-identical "twin" stations with similar layouts and code. Mechanical work wraps up this week; the remaining scope is troubleshooting, touch-ups, and recovery routines through SAT.

Cranberry, PA installation and startup of two conveyor lines with accumulation zones, elevators, and a camera-based rejection station. Code emulation is complete, but programming is not finished; power-on is scheduled for next Friday. Robot integration follows in a later phase.

Musts:

Strong Allen-Bradley PLC troubleshooting and programming (Studio 5000)

Commissioning/startup experience through FAT and SAT

Robotics Engineer: Fanuc robot programming (path touch-ups, recoveries)

Willing to work extended hours on-site (55+ hours/week)

Able to provide own laptop and software (Virtual machine acceptable)

Pluses:

FactoryTalk Optix HMI experience (newer platform scarce, not required)

PanelView HMI experience

Fanuc exposure for CE candidates (ability to touch up robot points)

Conveyance/material handling systems background

Availability for additional projects through December
