The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment to safely load and unload shipping containers between railcars and trucks. • Maneuver containers and chassis within the intermodal yard using hostlers. • Utilize equipment like top loaders, side loaders, and cranes for efficient container stacking and movement. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics tasks. • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to established safety protocols. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for consideration. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs. • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adhere to a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. • Demonstrated commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
