Systems Administrator with Security Clearance

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an onsite Systems Administrator to join an air force communications program in Rome, New York. The systems administrator will work within a growing IT team to support a mission-critical communications infrastructure project. Responsibilities of the Systems Administrator Includes: * Manage and maintain enterprise servers, operating systems, and core infrastructure components * Monitor system health, identify performance issues, and resolve technical incidents * Enforce security protocols and maintain system integrity across environments * Oversee user access, permissions, and system backups/recovery processes * Develop scripts to automate and streamline system administration and operational tasks Qualifications of the Systems Administrator Includes: * 3-5 years of experience in systems administration or similar roles * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on experience * Strong understanding of Windows and/or Linux environments, along with networking fundamentals (such as DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, etc.) * Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) and scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python, etc.) * Security+, Security X, CASP, or equivalent IAT Level II certification * Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance Compensation of the Systems Administrator Includes: * Salary Range: 80,000-90,000 * Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO, sick leave if required by law, and holidays This job opens for applications on June 25, 2026.
