Job Description

We're Hiring Business Development Manager - Government Sales


Location: Pune/ Noida/Mumbai


Nilkamal Edge is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager - Government Sales to drive business growth across Government Departments, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), and institutional customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand business opportunities with State and Central Government departments, PSUs, and other government institutions.
  • Manage the complete government sales cycle, including enquiry generation, tender participation, bid submission, negotiation, and order closure.
  • Handle Government registrations and ensure compliance with procurement and tendering processes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Government officials, contractors, dealers, architects, and consultants.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and business growth targets.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely execution of projects and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare regular MIS reports and maintain accurate sales data using SAP or similar ERP systems.


Candidate Profile

  • 3+ years of experience in Government or Institutional Sales.
  • Proven experience in Government tendering, GeM Portal, and e-procurement processes.
  • Strong network within Government Departments, PSUs, and institutional customers.
  • Experience in office furniture, modular furniture, workspace solutions, interiors, building materials, or allied industries is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage dealer and contractor networks and deliver business growth.
