Digital Transformation Manager - AI Enablement

Our client is a well known American based company and a global leader in vehicle auctions and automotive remarketing, with a reputation as an employer of choice and a respectful, inclusive culture. They have an immediate need for a Digital Transformation Manager - AI Enablement, based in Melbourne CBD, in a permanent capacity on a hybrid arrangement.

The role

Newly created and strategically critical, this position owns two mandates: governing the AI Product Review Process across the company's full customer facing digital product suite, and leading the Website / .NET development squad and offshore AI delivery resources. You will assess, design, and measure AI enabled enhancements; translate product concepts into clear, testable requirements; and track and report post delivery outcomes to the CIO quarterly. AI assisted development tooling (GitHub Copilot and Claude) is standard operating practice for all development activity within scope.

What you'll need to succeed;

• Demonstrated experience leading AI enabled product development or digital transformation in a commercial environment
• Proven leadership of .NET based digital product or web development teams in an Agile environment
• Hands on experience with generative AI tools in a development context - GitHub Copilot, Claude, or equivalent
• Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts and their application to customer facing digital products
• Ability to translate complex product and AI requirements into clear, testable specifications for offshore or squad delivery
• Proven stakeholder management skills - credible with senior business leaders, product managers, and executive stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline; postgraduate qualification advantageous
