Job Description

This is an opportunity to join a growing real estate team within Hayfin, a leading European private credit platform with €40bn AuM. Hayfin provides debt, equity and hybrid capital solutions to meet a range of financing needs for both corporates (sponsor and non-sponsor) and real asset owners.

You will work as part of the asset management team on a broad range of real estate investments across the capital structure and asset classes – shopping centres, offices, hospitality and residential. The role is fast-paced, deal-focused, and involves oversight of a range of counterparties, including operating partners, technical advisors and brokers, as well as enhancing our data analytics capabilities. You would be part of an experienced team, in a culture built on collaboration, teamwork and entrepreneurial spirit.

Our investment team is based across Europe, and we are flexible on where this hire will be based (London, Madrid or Milan), though you will need the right to work in that location.

  • Support delivery of each asset's business plan, translating strategy into annual objectives and monitoring progress against them
  • Oversee and manage operating partners across the portfolio, defining targets for the year and reviewing performance
  • Establish reporting standards and review periodic reporting for each deal
  • Prepare periodic reporting for investors, lenders and internal reporting for Senior Management
  • Participate in arranging bank financing and optimising leverage
  • Liaise with technical advisors, valuers, property managers and legal counsel on asset-level decisions and risk assessment
  • Support capex, refurbishment and leasing initiatives, including business case preparation
  • Contribute to ESG monitoring and reporting across the portfolio
  • Support valuations and portfolio reviews
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in real estate asset management, investment banking (leveraged finance or M&A), or private equity, credit or direct lending
  • Strong quantitative, financial modelling and analytics skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and workstreams simultaneously
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal); additional European languages beneficial
  • Strong educational background: ideally in Finance, Economics or Business disciplines
