TalentFish is casting a line for a D365 Finance & Procurement Solutions Consultant to join a growing organization in the construction services industry. This is a high-impact opportunity for a business-focused D365 professional who can bridge the gap between technology and operations, helping drive business transformation through Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management.

This role is ideal for a dynamic, hands-on consultant who understands finance, procurement, supply chain processes, and how to translate business needs into scalable ERP solutions. You will partner closely with business leaders and IT teams to optimize processes, improve efficiency, and support ongoing D365 transformation initiatives.

This is a hybrid role with a preference for a local candidate who can collaborate onsite with business teams in the Chicago north suburbs when needed.

What You Bring to the Role

• 5+ years of functional experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management (D365 F&SCM)
• Strong functional expertise across:
  • Finance
  • Procurement & Sourcing
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Inventory Management
  • Warehouse Management
  • Vendor Management
  • Purchasing
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional solutions
• Strong understanding of business processes and how technology enables operational improvements
• Ability to partner with stakeholders across finance, operations, purchasing, warehouse, and project teams
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience supporting ERP implementations, enhancements, and process improvement initiatives

What You''ll Do

• Partner with business leaders to understand operational challenges and design effective D365 solutions
• Lead the configuration, optimization, and continuous improvement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management
• Analyze current business processes and recommend best practices to improve efficiency and automation
• Support Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Inventory, Warehouse, and Project Operations workflows
• Configure and support Procurement and Sourcing processes including vendor management, purchasing, approvals, and contracts
• Collaborate with technical teams on integrations and system enhancements
• Create functional specifications and support development activities
• Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and change management efforts
• Troubleshoot functional issues and provide ongoing application support
• Act as a trusted advisor for future ERP improvements and business transformation initiatives

Ideal Background

The strongest candidates will have experience in environments where business processes are complex and operational efficiency is critical.

Preferred experience:

• HVAC, Plumbing, Mechanical Contracting, Construction Management, or related industries
• Project-based operations and job costing
• Field service and materials management
• Power Platform, Power BI, and Microsoft Azure integrations
• Dynamics 365 certifications
• Working with ERP implementation partners

Contract Details:

• 6+ month contract with potential contract-to-hire opportunity

• Target compensation equivalent: approximately $130K–$150K annually
