Senior Civil Engineer | Cambridge | £50,000–£60,000 + Excellent Benefits
Are you a Senior Civil Engineer looking to work on a genuinely varied portfolio of projects with a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy that offers clear progression, flexible working and a collaborative culture?
I'm working with an award-winning engineering consultancy that's continuing to grow its Civil Engineering team in Cambridge. With a strong pipeline of secured work across residential, education, commercial, defence and public sector projects, they're looking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer to play a key role in project delivery and help mentor the next generation of engineers.
The Role You'll be responsible for delivering a broad range of civil engineering projects from initial concept through to detailed design and construction, working closely with structural engineers, architects and other multidisciplinary teams. Projects include:
Residential developments Education Commercial developments Defence projects Healthcare Public sector infrastructure
Typical responsibilities include:
Producing highways and drainage designs for development infrastructure projects. Designing Section 38, Section 278 and Section 104 schemes. Preparing SuDS and drainage strategies. Managing projects from feasibility through detailed design and construction support. Liaising directly with clients, local authorities and multidisciplinary teams. Supporting fee proposals and assisting with project financial management. Mentoring Graduate and Civil Engineers.
About You You'll ideally have:
5+ years' UK Civil Engineering consultancy experience. Strong highways and drainage design experience. Experience delivering development infrastructure projects. Civil 3D and drainage software experience (InfoDrainage/MicroDrainage or similar). Working towards Chartership or already Chartered. Strong communication and client-facing skills.
