Multifamily Loan Underwriting Specialist

Hybrid - Washington DC - 3 days onsite weekly

No C2C. C2H or 1099

Top 5 Technical Skills:

1. Deep knowledge of Commercial Real Estate Finance and Multifamily Underwriting.
2. Working knowledge of the FM MF Guide and lender contractual obligations.
3. Ability to analyze and evaluate lender loan/underwriting documentation for Guide compliance, risk tolerance and prudent underwriting.
4. Sound business judgement to determine materiality of lender breaches, impact, proximity to loan default and ability propose appropriate level remedy to impact lender behavior and to minimize financial losses for FM.
5. Ability to negotiate with lender on the imposition of breach remedies. Requires excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
6. Requires prior experience with Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac Multifamily underwriting or asset management or similar experience with one of the DUS lenders.

Job Description:

• Individual, will perform independent Origination and Servicing MF Breach Reviews. Requires a deep knowledge of Commercial Real Estate Finance and Multifamily Underwriting.
• Requires working knowledge of the FM MF Guide and lender contractual obligations.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate lender loan/underwriting documentation for Guide compliance, risk tolerance and prudent underwriting.
• Sound business judgement to determine materiality of lender breaches, impact, proximity to loan default and ability propose appropriate level remedy to impact lender behavior and to minimize financial losses for FM.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at the highest levels.
• Ability to negotiate with lender on the imposition of breach remedies.
• Requires excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills. Requires prior experience with Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac Multifamily underwriting or asset management or similar experience with one of the DUS lender.
