Are you an experienced Development Engineer with a passion for creating bespoke test solutions? Platform Recruitment is partnering with a growing technology company in Cambridge that is looking for a hands-on engineer to develop advanced test platforms used to evaluate next-generation products.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly innovative environment where you'll combine mechanical, electrical and software skills to solve complex engineering challenges and deliver high-quality technical data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop bespoke test equipment and experimental rigs
• Create software tools to automate testing and improve data handling
• Develop new methods for evaluating product performance and reliability
• Utilise 3D CAD to develop prototype components, fixtures and test equipment
  
• Build and integrate hardware, instrumentation and supporting systems
• Contribute to continuous improvements across testing capabilities and processes
  

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics or a related discipline
• Ability to design and assemble bespoke fixtures and prototype systems
• 3D CAD design
• Strong background in developing and running engineering test programmes
• Experience creating automated software tools using Python or similar languages
• Hands-on experience with instrumentation and laboratory equipment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience handling technical data
