Experience with AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, CloudHealth, Cloudability, Apptio, Flexera, or similar tools.
Experience managing enterprise software licensing programs including Red Hat OpenShift, Oracle, Microsoft 365 platforms, SQL
Server, Snow, Splunk or similar technologies.
Experience creating financial reports, forecasts, business cases, and cost optimization recommendations.
Experience working directly with engineering teams to implement cloud governance and optimization practices.
The FinOps & Technology Licensing Lead is responsible for managing cloud financial operations, technology licensing,
and cost optimization initiatives across AWS, Azure, infrastructure, databases and enterprise software platforms. This role
serves as Horizons subject matter expert for cloud cost management, financial governance, software licensing, and
technology consumption analysis. Working closely with operations, engineering, architecture, procurement, finance, and
application teams, the Lead identifies cost-saving opportunities, improves financial accountability, and ensures
software assets and cloud resources are optimized, compliant, and aligned with business needs.Analyze and optimize
AWS and Azure cloud consumption to identify cost reduction opportunities and improve resource utilization.
Develop and maintain cloud cost reporting, forecasting, budgeting, showback, and chargeback processes, and deliver
dashboards and executive reporting that provide visibility into cloud spend, software utilization, cost optimization
opportunities, savings realization and overall financial performance.
Monitor cloud spending trends and resource utilization to identify anomalies, waste, and optimization opportunities, and
partner with cloud engineering and application teams to implement FinOps best practices, including tagging standards,
resource ownership, rightsizing, scheduling, reserved capacity, and Savings Plans.
Document and maintain cloud financial management and licensing processes, standards, and best practices.
Manage technology licensing and software asset optimization for platforms including Red Hat OpenShift, Oracle,
SQL Server, Microsoft, Nutanix, ServiceNow, Splunk, Dynatrace and other enterprise technologies.
Track software entitlements, utilization, renewals, compliance requirements, and licensing risks.
Support vendor negotiations, true-ups, renewals, and software audits by providing licensing analysis and usage data
Partner with Finance, Procurement, Operations, Architecture, and Engineering teams to improve financial governance
and technology investment decisions.
Evaluate FinOps tools, cloud management platforms, and software asset management solutions to improve visibility and
operational efficiency.
