Job Description

Support the delivery of Cyber Security Engineering objectives for the Aegis Sustainment program by applying cyber security principles across systems, subsystems and networks. The role works with engineering, ICT and security teams to integrate cyberworthiness considerations, support security assessments and contribute to Assessment and Authorisation outcomes throughout the engineering lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Define and manage security requirements for systems, subsystems and components.
  • Review system designs, technical documentation and engineering artefacts to ensure security requirements are addressed.
  • Liaise with Australian Defence security assessment and authorisation authorities.
  • Develop, maintain and manage security documentation to support ICT, Emanation and Physical Security accreditation activities.
  • Support the transition of systems into sustainment and conduct ongoing security monitoring to meet system owner obligations.

About you:

  • Significant experience identifying and applying appropriate security controls to protect information systems and networks.
  • Strong experience assessing ICT infrastructure (hardware and software) configurations to identify security vulnerabilities and risks.
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills, with the ability to produce clear and accurate security documentation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of cyber security responsibilities, principles and their practical application.

As well as the above any experience working within large Defence programs is desirable and/or supporting maritime programs is highly desirable.
