Are you a Building Services Engineer looking to join a growing consultancy where you'll work on a diverse range of sustainable building projects and have genuine opportunities for career progression?
Zest4Talent is recruiting for a Building Services Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical) to join an ambitious and collaborative consultancy based in Nottingham.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work across the full RIBA design process, developing innovative, low-carbon engineering solutions while collaborating with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams. You'll gain exposure to a varied project portfolio and receive ongoing support towards professional development and Chartership.
What you'll be doing:
✅ Designing mechanical or electrical building services from concept through to construction
✅ Producing engineering calculations, load assessments and detailed designs using Revit, AutoCAD and industry-standard software
✅ Preparing technical specifications, reports and project documentation
✅ Working closely with architects, structural engineers, contractors and clients throughout project delivery
✅ Undertaking site visits, inspections and commissioning support
✅ Delivering sustainable, compliant and technically robust engineering solutions across a range of commercial projects
What we're looking for:
✔ 3+ years' experience within an MEP consultancy or design & build environment
✔ Degree in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or a related discipline)
✔ Experience using Revit, AutoCAD and relevant design software such as IES VE, Hevacomp, Dialux, Amtech, SAP or iSBEM
✔ Good understanding of low-carbon building design, renewable technologies and current Building Regulations
✔ Strong communication skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships
✔ Working towards (or keen to achieve) professional membership and Chartership with CIBSE, IET or IMechE would be advantageous
