Lead Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Lead Engineer for a Contract with a client in San Antonio, TX/Plano, TX. The ideal candidate isresponsible for designing, developing, and supporting cloud-native applications, AI-powered solutions, and enterprise automation platforms while driving technical excellence and operational reliability.

Rate Range: $56/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Lead Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of cloud-native applications, AI-powered solutions, and enterprise automation platforms using Go, Python, Java, and AWS technologies.
• Build and enhance AI Agents leveraging LLMs, RAG architectures, prompt engineering, and agent frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, and CrewAI.
• Develop and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, and related AWS services.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, incident response, log analysis, and performance optimization to ensure application reliability and operational excellence.
• Implement secure AI and cloud solutions by applying IAM policies, KMS, Secrets Manager, prompt security, and sensitive data protection best practices.
• Mentor engineering teams, drive technical design decisions, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality business solutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
• 6-8 years of experience in software engineering, cloud-native application development, and AI/LLM-based solution development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Go, Python, Java, Terraform, AWS services (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB), Bedrock, IAM, KMS, and Secrets Manager.
• Proven expertise in Prompt Engineering, AI Agent development, RAG architectures, LLM integrations, and frameworks such as LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar agentic AI technologies.

Pay Details: $56.00 to $60.00 per hour
