You’ll provide hands-on application support, investigate incidents and problems, and coordinate changes and releases into live environments. - Respond to incidents by prioritising, diagnosing and investigating issues.
- Coordinate timely incident resolution, escalation, recovery and closure.
- Analyse recurring issues and complete root cause investigations.
- Support application availability and performance against agreed service levels.
- Develop, document and test disaster recovery arrangements and procedures.
- Assist with software configuration across new and existing environments.
- Test application changes, document faults and coordinate retesting.
- Package, build, test and deploy releases into live environments.
- Contribute to release planning, scheduling and process improvement.
- Guide clients and team members in the effective use of business systems.
- Provide specialist advice and complete technical tasks within your area of expertise.
- Build trusted relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Work with vendors on system support, maintenance and development activities.
- Identify, assess and escalate technology risks in line with our Risk Management framework.
- Contribute ideas that improve team processes, application reliability and customer outcomes.
It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:
- You have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Your experience includes supporting complex IT systems and web-based applications.
- You’ll bring strong experience supporting front and back-office transaction processing systems.
- You’re confident investigating incidents, analysing problems and identifying practical solutions.
- You understand application support, incident management and problem management practices.
- Your written and verbal communication skills help you work effectively with business, technical and supplier stakeholders.
- You’ll be comfortable supporting software configuration, testing and release activities.
- You’re familiar with risk identification, root cause analysis and escalation processes.
- You have an understanding of the full software development lifecycle and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Your financial services or superannuation experience would be highly regarded.
