Lead Business Analyst - Onsite

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Lead Business Analyst for an on-site position with a Major Financial Services Firm located in McLean, VA. This is a 2- month + contract to hire opportunity.
This role involves leading a team focused on third-party risk management and information security. The ideal candidate will act as a business analyst within the mortgage industry, interfacing between business and technical teams to translate requirements and support the full software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:

• Interface between business and technical teams
• Gather requirements and perform business analysis
• Design process/data flows and technical specifications
• Translate business requirements into technical requirements
• Define project objectives and conduct feasibility analysis
• Support development, systems integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)
• Create and document UAT test strategies, plans, and test cases/scripts

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a team lead
• Strong expertise in third-party risk management, information security, and operational risk
• Advanced skills in spreadsheet formulas, Excel automation, and financial statement analysis
• Knowledge of SOC reviews (including SOC 1 Type 2), controls, and enhancements
• Experience working as a business analyst in the mortgage industry
• Understanding of the end-to-end software development life cycle (SDLC)
• Knowledge of manual and automation testing
• Excellent communication and analytical skills

Desired skills:

• Experience in IT audit

Pay range: Up to $62.28 per hour
