Job Description

SAP BRH and Serialization Architect
Duration: Long Term
Location: Raleigh NC, local candidates strongly preferred, candidates who will travel are okay as well

About the role
We''re looking for a senior architect who can operate as a true partner to the business-side project lead: high-level enough to drive vendor evaluation and project direction, and hands-on enough to get in the trenches on change controls and tactical delivery. This is not a role with mentoring or ramp-up support — you''ll be expected to run with minimal direction from day one.

What you''ll do:
Lead fact-based system evaluation for batch release hub and serialization. Build the full evaluation criteria set so vendor claims can be verified during demos and scored objectively rather than on opinion.
Assess downstream impact of candidate solutions on the existing SAP landscape — what changes, what breaks, where the pain points sit.
Support the serialization program from initiation through implementation planning, working alongside the business-side project lead.
Advise on workflow implementation, including the master data process, drawing on prior hands-on workflow implementation experience.
Contribute tactically on change controls, blueprinting, process flow diagrams, and the current optimization projects.
Work at both tiers: project-management level planning and divide-and-conquer execution

Required experience:
Senior-level SAP architect with substantial hands-on implementation history (not advisory-only).
SAP Batch Release Hub (BRH) experience.
Serialization experience in a regulated / life sciences environment.
Proven ability to build vendor evaluation criteria and run structured, evidence-based selection processes.
Strong blueprinting and process flow diagramming skills — independently, without coaching.
Comfortable as a "doer": willing to pick up tactical work such as change controls alongside strategic work.
Veeva experience, particularly the change control system within it.
Pharma or biotech background with awareness of compliance timelines.

Nice to haves:
Experience in an environment where FICO is implemented after other modules, or any FICO implementation experience
SAP IAG/Security experience
