The CSfC Sustainment Network Engineer will support the sustainment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and operational readiness of NSA-approved Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) systems and networks supporting U.S. Navy operations. This role is part of a team delivering mission-critical systems and network support for classified communications environments.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in networking, security, and systems administration, along with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance (minimum)
  • Security+ certification
  • CCNP-level networking expertise
  • 8+ years of Network Engineering experience focused on Cisco and/or Juniper environments
  • 2+ years supporting MCEN and DoD environments
  • Experience with: o Cisco Routing & Switching o Cisco ISE o Juniper Networks o Palo Alto Networks o Aruba Networks o F5 Load Balancers o CSfC environments o PKI infrastructure o Firewall administration o Windows environments
  • Experience installing, configuring, and supporting: o Active Directory o Domain Controllers o DNS o DHCP o PKI Integration o VMware vSphere o Classified network environments
  • Experience with Wi-Fi standards including 802.11ac and 802.11ax
  • Strong understanding of: o Network architectures o Security appliances o Application services o Virtual environments o Network management tools o Network protocols o Network troubleshooting and performance optimization
  • Ability to use software tools and scripts to configure, monitor, troubleshoot, and repair network equipment

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day sustainment, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of NSA-approved CSfC environments.
  • Support virtualized infrastructure and complex network architectures across multiple operating systems and platforms.
  • Deploy, configure, test, and maintain network and security appliances.
  • Install, configure, and support routers, switches, firewalls, VPN gateways, wireless infrastructure, and related network components.
  • Perform configuration management activities and maintain operational readiness of network systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network, system, and security issues in classified and operational environments.
  • Conduct technology assessments, engineering evaluations, and system performance analysis.
  • Support Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions, including certificate generation, installation, and lifecycle management.
  • Configure and troubleshoot IPsec communications and secure routing environments.
  • Implement and manage firewall policies, Access Control Lists (ACLs), and network segmentation controls.
  • Support Layer 3 and Layer 7 load-balancing technologies.
  • Implement and troubleshoot routing and switching protocols in enterprise environments.
  • Configure and maintain 802.1X authentication and network access control solutions.
  • Utilize network monitoring, management, and security tools to maintain performance and security compliance.
  • Conduct vulnerability scanning using ACAS and support remediation efforts.
  • Perform system and network hardening in accordance with DoD STIGs, SCAP compliance requirements, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Prepare technical documentation, status reports, and presentations for customers and stakeholders.
  • Participate in on-call support activities and respond to system incidents as required.
  • Travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations to support deployments, training, sustainment activities, and operational requirements (approximately 25% travel, including international travel of up to 3-4 weeks). Worksite Address

The CSfC program delivers secure commercial cybersecurity solutions for the U.S. Marine Corps and Navy using NSA-approved Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) capability packages. These solutions enable secure access to classified information while operating outside traditional secure facilities. The program continues to expand to support additional Navy customers and mission requirements. Additional Qualifications
  • Experience supporting NSA-approved Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) solutions
  • Experience supporting U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, or broader DoD missions
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies and enterprise systems administration
  • Active DoD 8570/8140-compliant certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, or similar Work Environment
