Job Description

We are looking for a knowledgeable Year 6 Teacher for a permanent contract in a supportive school in Hackney, Northeast London. As a Year 6 Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching students aged 10-11 and preparing them for their upcoming SATs exams. The School

This two-form entry school is located in Hackney, Northeast London, and is conveniently accessible by public transport. The school is currently looking to appoint a qualified Primary teacher as soon as possible. With a "Good" rating from Ofsted, it is open to applications from both experienced teachers and ECTs. Responsibilities of a Year 6 teacher:

· As a Year 6 teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

· Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses

· Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents

Year 6 Teacher requirements:

· A qualified teacher status (QTS), PGCE or equivalent

· Experience in teaching Year 6 students and preparing them for SATs exams

· A proven track record of delivering high-quality lessons and achieving excellent academic results

· A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment methodologies

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

· Patience, resilience, and a passion for teaching

· A willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues
