Job Description

  • Job Summary*
We are seeking a skilled steel erector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing steel structures, ensuring that all work meets safety standards and project specifications. This role requires proficiency in various construction techniques and the ability to read blueprints accurately. This role will play a crucial part in building frameworks for buildings and other structures.

  • Responsibilities*
  • Assemble and install metal frameworks, including beams, columns, and trusses.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine project specifications and layout.
  • Utilize power tools and machinery for cutting, welding, and shaping metal components.
  • Perform pipe threading and sheet metal work as required by the project.
  • Conduct welding tasks and techniques to ensure structural integrity.
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure timely project completion.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols at all times.
  • Assist in the movement of materials around the construction site as needed.

  • Experience*
  • Proven experience as a foreman or in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading is essential for understanding project requirements.
  • Experience with power tools, machining, welding, pipe threading, and sheet metal work is highly desirable.
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a commitment to safety practices on the construction site.
