Treasury Assistant - Leading Global Financial Services Organisation - London - up to £50,000 + benefits

We are partnering confidentially with a globally recognised financial services organisation to recruit a Treasury Assistant into its London Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a treasury professional with 2-3 years' experience to join a collaborative team supporting treasury operations across payments, liquidity management, cash forecasting, and treasury reporting within an FCA regulated financial services environment.

Working closely with experienced Treasury professionals, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the Treasury function, supporting cash management across multiple currencies while gaining exposure to liquidity monitoring, FX settlements, treasury controls, and process improvement initiatives. This role would particularly suit someone who has already begun their professional accounting qualification and is looking to build a long-term career within Treasury.

Key Responsibilities

Treasury Operations

  • Process treasury payments and funding transactions across multiple currencies.
  • Monitor daily cash positions, ensuring sufficient liquidity to support business requirements.
  • Work closely with Accounts Payable and internal Finance teams to ensure funds are available in the correct currency and at the right time.
  • Complete bank reconciliations and support day-to-day Treasury operations.
Cash Management & Treasury Reporting
  • Support cash flow reporting and treasury management information.
  • Assist with liquidity monitoring and FX settlement activities.
  • Produce accurate treasury reporting and support analysis for internal stakeholders.
Banking & Controls
  • Maintain banking records, payment templates, and settlement instructions.
  • Liaise with banking partners and internal stakeholders to support Treasury operations.
  • Ensure Treasury activities comply with internal controls, FCA requirements, and Financial Crime policies.
Continuous Improvement
  • Support treasury process improvements and operational enhancement initiatives.
  • Assist with treasury-related projects and systems improvements.
  • Maintain accurate procedures and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
Your Profile
  • Part-qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ACT or AAT, with ambitions to continue studying.
  • 2-3 years' Treasury/ Treasury Accounting within a Financial Services environment.
  • Working knowledge of FCA Client Money (CASS) rules and cash management processes.
  • Strong understanding of treasury operations, payment processing, and banking controls.
  • Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and keen to build a long-term career within Treasury.
