Required Qualifications:

5+ years of professional software development experience, focusing heavily or exclusively on backend web services and API engineering.
Expert proficiency in Java and the Spring Boot ecosystem (including Spring Web/REST, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, etc.).
Strong experience working with relational databases, writing complex SQL queries, and optimizing database interactions.
Solid experience with automated testing frameworks, specifically JUnit, Mockito, or similar backend test runners.
2–3 years of experience with Git in a collaborative, team-based development workflow (branching strategies, PRs, code reviews).
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical backend workflows into concepts easily understood by business stakeholders and quants.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with Java 21 features and modern asynchronous or reactive programming paradigms.
Experience with message brokers or event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) in a financial services context.
Working knowledge of fixed-income concepts: duration, convexity, spread, option-adjusted spread (OAS), and related derivatives.
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, or Podman).
Proficiency with shell scripting for automation, deployment support, and operational troubleshooting.
Experience using JIRA or similar tools for Agile planning, sprint tracking, and delivery management.
