Spend your summer solving genuine commercial problems

This isn’t an internship built around shadowing or administration. You’ll join a core Strategy team and take ownership of a genuine business project from the beginning.

You’ll use data, analytical thinking and commercial judgement to investigate a problem, develop recommendations and present your findings to the business.

You could be involved in:

  • Analysing customer and commercial data
  • Identifying ways to improve products and services
  • Exploring how to attract and engage new customers
  • Supporting responsible commercial and risk decisions
  • Developing customer, marketing or fraud-prevention strategies
  • Learning how analytical and coding tools are used within financial services
  • Presenting your final recommendations to colleagues and stakeholders

You’ll receive structured training and support from a manager, mentor and buddy throughout the programme.

What we’re looking for

You don’t need previous finance experience or a particular degree. You should be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong numerical and analytical thinking
  • Curiosity and an interest in solving complex problems
  • The confidence to form and communicate recommendations
  • Good written and verbal communication
  • Sound judgement and attention to detail
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to learn

Applications are welcomed from everyone. Women and candidates from groups underrepresented within strategy and financial services are particularly encouraged to apply.
