Job Description

The Opportunity:Our client is an established financial services organisation that has recently launched an innovative new growth proposition alongside its core business. Following significant investment and development, they are now seeking their first dedicated Business Development Manager to help drive awareness, build partnerships and support ambitious growth plans.This is an exciting opportunity to join at an early stage and play a key role in shaping the commercial success of a new venture, working closely with senior leadership in a highly visible positionAbout the role:This is a consultative, relationship-led business development role focused on attracting and onboarding new partners and customers.Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing inbound enquiries and converting opportunities
  • Proactively identifying and engaging prospective partners
  • Building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline
  • Conducting discovery meetings and qualification calls
  • Managing longer-term opportunities through a structured sales cycle
  • Attending relevant industry events and networking opportunities
  • Maintaining accurate CRM and pipeline reporting
Experience / SkillsWe're keen to speak with candidates who have:
  • Previous experience in Business Development, Partnerships or Consultative Sales
  • A background within financial services, banking, insurance, wealth management, mortgages or another regulated environment
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing sales pipelines and nurturing opportunities
  • A proactive, self-motivated and organised approach
  • Confidence using LinkedIn, CRM systems and virtual sales tools
This role is ideally suited to an ambitious sales professional looking for greater ownership and the opportunity to help build something from the ground up.Other information:Candidates should be based within the Northeast or North Yorkshire region and be comfortable attending the NE office 1-2 days per week.
