Job Description

We're looking for an IT Infrastructure Technician to help maintain and support the technology that keeps our business running. Supporting users across multiple sites, you'll work with devices, Microsoft 365, networks and core infrastructure, delivering reliable IT services and excellent customer support.

Location: Worksop, onsite
Salary: Competitive

Hours: Full time , 40 hours per week

The role:

  • Provide first and second-line IT support for users across multiple sites, ensuring a high level of customer service
  • Deploy, configure and maintain laptops, desktops, mobile devices and associated peripherals
  • Manage user accounts, permissions and device administration using Microsoft technologies and Microsoft 365
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, printer and connectivity issues, both remotely and on-site
  • Support core IT infrastructure, including security, patch management, backups, monitoring and asset management
  • Maintain accurate service desk tickets, technical documentation and IT asset records
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers and support partners to resolve incidents and support service delivery
  • Support and maintain site technologies, including telephony systems, CCTV and meeting room equipment
  • Contribute to IT projects, system upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives across the Group
  • Assist in the standardisation and optimisation of IT services, processes and best practices
  • Promote IT security awareness and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues at all levels, communicating technical information clearly and effectively

You'll need:

  • Experience supporting Windows 11 devices, Microsoft 365 and end users within a busy IT support environment
  • Knowledge of user account administration, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Active Directory and device management
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printer, network and connectivity issues
  • Good understanding of Microsoft technologies, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP) and cyber security best practices
  • Excellent customer service, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users
  • Experience using IT service desk or ticketing systems, with a strong focus on maintaining accurate documentation and records
  • Well-organised and proactive, with the ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • A collaborative team player who can build positive working relationships across all levels of the business

Desirable skills and Experience:

  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 environments
  • Knowledge of Meraki networking solutions, CCTV systems and business telephony platforms
  • Basic PowerShell scripting and automation skills
  • Experience providing IT support across multiple sites and locations
  • Exposure to infrastructure, security, patch management and IT asset management activities
