Job Description
Working within a collaborative development team, you'll play a key role in delivering and supporting integrations between clinical systems and a cloud-hosted endoscopy management platform used across the NHS and private healthcare sector. You'll contribute throughout the full software development lifecycle while helping shape technical standards and best practice across the business.

- Develop, maintain and enhance healthcare messaging interfaces using Java, Spring Boot, Apache Camel and Docker.
- Deliver new integration projects while working closely with customers and third-party technical specialists.
- Support, troubleshoot and resolve production issues while maintaining reliable live services.
- Deploy software through structured change control and contribute to continuous platform improvements.
- Produce technical documentation and provide support for customer integrations.
- Contribute to technical strategy, code reviews and knowledge sharing across the development team.
- Strong experience developing healthcare messaging solutions using HL7 v2.x, HL7 FHIR and recognised interoperability standards.
- Excellent Java development skills including Spring Boot, Maven, Apache Camel, REST/SOAP services and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with source control, CI pipelines and modern deployment practices including Git, Azure DevOps, Configuration as Code and GitOps.
- Knowledge of NHS integration platforms such as InterSystems, Orion Rhapsody, CloverLeaf, BizTalk or NextGen Mirth Connect is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of software testing approaches, enterprise integration patterns and secure communication technologies including mTLS and SSH.
Full-time, Monday to Friday with flexible home-based working.
