In this strategic role, you will lead category management, procurement and contract management activities across ASIC's Technology & Digital portfolio, delivering value-for-money outcomes and fostering strong supplier and stakeholder relationships.Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Canberra locationEL1 - ($127,641-$149,295) depending on experience, plus 15.4% superannuation2 x permanent rolesApplications close at 11:59 pm AEST, Thursday 23 July 2026The teamEnterprise Services provides critical business support functions across ASIC, including Finance, Procurement, Property & Contracts, Performance Reporting & Planning, and the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program. The Procurement team serves as ASIC's centre of procurement expertise, delivering category management, procurement governance and contract management support across the organisation, with a focus on achieving efficient, transparent and value-driven procurement outcomes.The roleAs the Procurement & Category Manager - Technology & Digital (EL1), you will lead the strategic management of Technology & Digital categories within your portfolio. You will partner closely with business stakeholders to develop category strategies, manage complex procurements, strengthen supplier relationships and improve contract management maturity across ASIC. You will also lead a team and contribute to procurement capability uplift across the organisation.You will be responsible for:Leading end-to-end Technology & Digital category strategies, including demand planning, sourcing, contracting, supplier management, total cost of ownership and benefits realisation.Delivering complex, high-value and high-risk procurements while ensuring compliance with procurement legislation, policy and governance requirements.Providing strategic procurement and commercial advice across the full procurement lifecycle.Developing category roadmaps informed by market intelligence, spend analytics and emerging technology trends.Managing procurement risks, including supplier dependency, cyber risk, data risk and market constraints.Establishing and embedding supplier relationship management (SRM) frameworks and governance mechanisms.Supporting contract owners with contract management planning, supplier performance, renewals and commercial issues.Driving supplier optimisation, innovation, sustainability and diversity outcomes, including engagement with SMEs and Indigenous suppliers.Providing probity, governance and risk management advice to stakeholders.Leading and developing a high-performing team while contributing to enterprise-wide procurement capability uplift and continuous improvement initiatives.About youTo succeed in this role, you will bring relevant tertiary qualifications and procurement certification, together with extensive experience delivering complex procurements within a government environment. You will possess deep expertise in Technology & Digital procurement, category management, contract management, supplier relationship management and commercial negotiations, supported by a strong understanding of the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), the PGPA Act and broader government procurement frameworks.You will be a commercially astute and strategic procurement professional with demonstrated experience influencing diverse stakeholders, leading teams and driving outcomes in complex environments.
