About the RoleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced
Lead Project Manufacturing Engineer
to lead the delivery of manufacturing projects across New Product Introduction (NPI), sustaining engineering, Engineer-to-Order (ETO), and distributed manufacturing.
Leading a team of Project Manufacturing Engineers, you'll ensure manufacturing solutions are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time while driving Manufacturing Readiness, continuous improvement, and operational excellence across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Project Manufacturing Engineers. Manage the manufacturing project portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification. Own and improve the Manufacturing Readiness Review (MRR) process. Identify and mitigate manufacturing risks before products enter production. Work closely with Design Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and Project teams to deliver successful manufacturing solutions. Drive Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives across the department. Develop team processes, documentation, KPIs, and visual management systems. Manage project expenditure and support governance and audit activities.
About YouWe're looking for an experienced Manufacturing or Project Engineering leader with a strong background in delivering engineering projects within a manufacturing environment.
You'll ideally have:
Proven experience leading manufacturing engineering or project engineering teams. Experience delivering NPI, sustaining engineering, ETO, or manufacturing improvement projects. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrialisation, and production readiness. Experience managing KPIs, business plans, and engineering resources. Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing tools such as Kaizen, Standard Work, PFMEA, Value Stream Mapping, 6S, and TPM. Strong project management and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic assemblies. Experience using ERP systems and engineering documentation. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. A proactive approach with a passion for developing people and driving continuous improvement.
