About the Role
The Project Manager / Cluster Head will be responsible for end-to-end IT project delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives, cost efficiency, and compliance with Life Insurance industry standards. Acting as a strategic bridge between business and technology, this role requires deep life insurance domain expertise, strong leadership, and proven stakeholder management skills to deliver impactful outcomes across clusters.
Key Responsibilities
- Life Insurance Expertise: Apply in-depth knowledge of Life Insurance processes, products, and regulatory frameworks to guide project execution and digital transformation initiatives.
- IT Project Management: Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of IT projects, ensuring delivery within scope, timelines, and budgets. Implement project governance frameworks and risk management strategies.
- Cost Optimization: Drive efficiency by identifying cost-saving opportunities, optimizing resource allocation, and leveraging automation/testing tools to reduce operational overhead.
- Business Development: Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify new opportunities, contribute to proposals, and support organizational growth through technology-driven initiatives.
- Testing Oversight: Manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure adherence to testing methodologies, guaranteeing high-quality deliverables.
- Leadership: Mentor and manage cross-functional teams, oversee multiple clusters, and foster collaboration across departments to achieve strategic goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment throughout project lifecycles.
- Strategic Growth: Contribute to organizational growth by implementing innovative solutions, enhancing customer experience, and supporting digital transformation in the Life Insurance sector.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's/Master's in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 14 years in IT project management, with significant exposure to Life Insurance domain projects.
- Skills: Expertise in UAT/testing, proven cost reduction, stakeholder management, and leadership of large teams.
