Project Overview
 

• This Cloud Infrastructure Engineer role will participate in the design, build, and maintenance of scalable foundations for cloud applications and infrastructure. The engineer will collaborate across client IT on a daily basis to implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC), manage and provision systems and services, and optimize costs and security across major cloud platforms including AmClienton Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Clienture, and Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).

Job Functions & Responsibilities

• Write and maintain automated scripts using tools such as Terraform or Ansible to deploy cloud resources.
• Assist DevOps teams by supporting developers who build pipelines that enable rapid, reliable, and automated application delivery.
• Maintain consistency across environments by utilizing immutable infrastructure principles, reducing deployment drift and configuration inconsistencies.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance bottlenecks and conduct capacity planning activities.
• Diagnose and resolve complex cloud-related issues during outages while minimizing disruption to business services.
• Configure proactive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools such as Datadog, CloudWatch, or Prometheus.
• Participate in on-call rotations to support production services, perform root cause analysis, and execute routine maintenance activities.

Required Skills

• Cloud Platform expertise in one or more of the following:
  • AmClienton Web Services (AWS)
  • Microsoft Clienture
  • Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using:
  • Terraform
  • Ansible
• Containerization and orchestration technologies including:
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • OpenShift
• Strong foundational knowledge of:
  • Networking concepts and protocols
  • Windows operating systems
  • Linux operating systems

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Cloud and systems-related certifications are preferred, such as:
  • AWS Certifications
  • Microsoft Clienture Certifications
  • Google Cloud Certifications
  • Linux or Systems Administration Certifications
