Transport for NSW is seeking a motivated Associate Technical Business Analyst to support the delivery of technology and business transformation initiatives.

This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging Business Analyst to work across business and technology teams, supporting the analysis, documentation, and delivery of technology solutions. Working closely with stakeholders, architects, developers, testers, and delivery teams, you will help translate business needs into clear requirements and contribute to successful project outcomes.

About the Role

You will:

  • Support the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business and technical requirements.
  • Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and other business analysis artefacts.
  • Assist in analysing business processes, systems, data flows, and integrations.
  • Support the assessment and delivery of technology solutions that meet business needs.
  • Assist with testing activities, defect resolution, and requirements validation.
  • Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to support project delivery.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
  • Assist with tracking risks, issues, dependencies, and project actions.
  • Experience or demonstrated capability in business analysis, requirements gathering, project support, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Exposure to Agile delivery methodologies and project environments.
  • Experience developing requirements documentation, user stories, process maps, and acceptance criteria.
  • An understanding of business processes, systems, data, and technology enabled solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
