Java AI Engineer / Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Java AI Engineer / Data Engineer with experience in building AI-enabled applications using Java, LLMs, and advanced analytics. The ideal candidate will develop AI-driven features, process operational data, build prototypes, and deliver predictive and prescriptive insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Java-based backend applications and AI-enabled features.
• Integrate LLMs (OpenAI, LangChain4j, or similar) using prompt engineering, context management, and tool/function calling.
• Process structured operational data and build predictive, prescriptive, and anomaly detection solutions.
• Develop production-ready prototypes while ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement AI use cases.

Required Skills

• Strong Java backend development experience.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs into enterprise applications.
• Experience with prompt engineering, REST APIs, JSON, and structured data processing.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• LangChain4j or similar AI frameworks.
• OpenAI or other LLM integrations.
• Predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and advanced analytics.
• Data engineering, ETL, SPSS, or statistical analysis.
• WildFly and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
