Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Workday FSCM Go-Live Readiness Lead to support a large public-sector Workday Financials and Supply Chain Management implementation. This person will coordinate readiness planning, testing, documentation, training preparation, issue resolution, and go-live activities across functional and technical teams.
Candidates must have substantial state or local government experience and should have supported multiple comparable Workday implementations.
Responsibilities
- Lead go-live readiness activities for Workday Financials and Supply Chain Management.
- Establish project templates, standards, work plans, timelines, and readiness criteria.
- Coordinate deliverables across client personnel, subject-matter experts, and consulting teams.
- Review Workday configuration changes, functional specifications, security requirements, and supporting documentation.
- Define testing requirements and oversee the creation and execution of test scripts.
- Coordinate defect research, issue resolution, retesting, and readiness reporting.
- Support business-process documentation, user procedures, and training-material development.
- Monitor deliverables for quality, schedule, scope, and budget compliance.
- Facilitate meetings and coordinate dependencies between functional and technical teams.
- Identify and escalate risks that could affect go-live readiness.
- Provide detailed progress reports to project leadership.
- Support cutover, go-live, stabilization, and post-production activities.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Workday Financials and Supply Chain Management implementation or upgrade experience.
- Previous leadership responsibility for go-live readiness, cutover, testing, deployment, or stabilization.
- Required experience supporting Workday projects for state or local government organizations.
- Experience completing multiple comparable Workday implementations.
- Strong knowledge of Workday Financials, procurement, supply chain, and related business processes.
- Experience developing project plans, functional specifications, test scripts, business procedures, and readiness documentation.
- Experience leading integrated client, consulting, and independent-contractor teams.
- Experience supporting large, complex, multi-entity organizations.
- Strong facilitation, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work on a W-2 basis.
- U.S. citizenship required due to contractual requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Philadelphia-area residence.
- Experience with public-sector grants, budgeting, procurement, and financial-management systems.
- Experience with Workday integrations involving EPM, identity management, recruiting, timekeeping, or third-party platforms.
- Experience supporting large shared-services environments.
