Accounting Analyst III - Epic Financial Recon

Our California Healthcare client is seeking an experienced Accounting Analyst III to support financial reconciliation activities associated with Epic. This role will partner closely with Finance and Revenue Cycle teams to reconcile Epic-generated financial activity, support integrations, and improve financial processes and controls. This is a finance/accounting role-not an Epic application analyst position. The ideal candidate understands how financial transactions are generated within Epic and how they flow into and reconcile with the GL and other financial systems. This hybrid role has an initial duration of 12 year & will require occasional onsite visits to CA.
Key Responsibilities

• Reconcile Epic-generated financial activity, including patient accounts receivable and related transactions.
• Perform general accounting activities, including account reconciliations, intercompany transactions, expense allocations, and consolidations.
• Support Epic integration, restamping, and financial transaction reconciliation activities.
• Research and resolve reconciliation variances and backlogs in partnership with Finance and operational teams.
• Validate financial data flowing from Epic into downstream financial systems for completeness and accuracy.
• Document current-state processes and identify opportunities to improve workflows, controls, and reconciliation processes.
• Partner with Finance, Revenue Cycle, and project teams on Epic implementation and optimization initiatives.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and standard operating procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial analysis experience.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting and financial reconciliation.
• Experience reconciling financial activity from Epic or another healthcare ERP/EHR environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience documenting and improving accounting processes and financial workflows.
