Job Description

£150 per day, Inside IR35 6 months initial contract Role Overview<br />We are seeking an IT Support Engineer to provide onsite support within a busy operational site environment. This is a hands-on role supporting end user devices, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring a high standard of service delivery.

The engineer must be comfortable working independently and delivering consistent, user facing support.

Key Responsibilities<br />* Provide deskside support for PCs, laptops, mobile devices and peripherals<br />* Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues across Windows 10 and Windows 11 environments<br />* Build, configure, replace and troubleshoot end user hardware<br />* Support mobile devices including iPhones and Blackberry<br />* Assist with data backup and recovery processes<br />* Work within virtual, MDM and VPN environments<br />* Log, update and manage tickets within ServiceNow<br />* Maintain accurate documentation of incidents and resolutions<br />* Deliver high quality customer service to end users<br />* Follow defined ITIL based processes and procedures Required Skills and Experience<br />* Proven experience in Level 2 IT support or similar role<br />* Strong understanding of IT fundamentals including networks, hardware and domains<br />* Good working knowledge of Windows 10 and Windows 11<br />* Experience supporting end user hardware and software issues<br />* Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and Lotus Notes<br />* Experience supporting mobile devices<br />* Understanding of data backup techniques<br />* Experience working within an ITIL environment<br />* Strong communication and customer facing skills<br />* Logical and analytical approach to troubleshooting<br />* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively Desirable<br />* Familiarity with Microsoft SCCM<br />* Experience working with ServiceNow<br />* Exposure to virtualisation, MDM and VPN environments
