Job Description

Senior Manager role - top 100 Accounting firm

Are you a qualified ACA or ACCA accountant with 3-4+ years' post-qualified experience who is looking for something beyond the traditional accountancy role?

Our client is seeking an ambitious accountant who wants to become a genuine trusted adviser to entrepreneurial businesses rather than simply preparing accounts. This is an outstanding opportunity to work alongside experienced lawyers and tax specialists, providing commercially focused advice to owner-managed businesses while developing into a future Partner.

The Opportunity

This is a highly varied advisory role where you'll work directly with business owners, helping them navigate financial, commercial and strategic challenges. You'll gain exposure to a broad range of accounting, legal and tax matters, allowing you to develop into a well-rounded business adviser.

You'll enjoy significant client contact from day one, take ownership of relationships, identify opportunities to add value, and play a key role in delivering integrated advice that makes a real difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build long-term relationships with owner-managed businesses.
  • Provide accounting and financial reporting advice.
  • Advise clients on personal tax matters.
  • Identify commercial opportunities and deliver practical solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with legal and tax specialists on complex client matters.
  • Become a trusted adviser to clients, supporting their long-term growth and success.
About You

You'll be an ambitious qualified accountant who enjoys working closely with clients and solving commercial problems.

You'll have:
  • ACA or ACCA qualification.
  • At least 3-4 years' post-qualification experience.
  • Strong accounting and financial reporting expertise.
  • A solid understanding of personal taxation.
  • Experience advising owner-managed businesses.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A commercial, practical and solution-focused mindset.
  • The ambition to progress into senior leadership and ultimately Partnership.
What's on Offer?

This is far more than a standard accountancy position-it's a genuine career opportunity.

In return, you'll benefit from:
  • Early responsibility and significant client exposure.
  • A varied advisory role with no two days the same.
  • Close collaboration with experienced legal and tax professionals.
  • Ongoing professional development and mentoring.
  • A clear and structured route to senior leadership.
  • Genuine fast-track Partnership prospects, with high-performing individuals potentially considered for Partnership within approximately three years.
If you're looking to broaden your expertise, become a trusted adviser to successful businesses and accelerate your career with a firm that actively invests in its people, we'd love to hear from you.
