Job Description
Provide technical and project management support for the Client’s Land Mobile Radio System Network as well as intra and interoperative public safety radios systems providing communication support for client agencies.
• Support the creation of test plans and the results as needs arise.
• Maintain and expand knowledge of RF and network technologies being used by client.
• Maintain administrative and technical processes that support the management and maintenance of high-quality radio access networks.
• Maintain and expand knowledge of all things related to Telex/Bosch software and hardware radio VOIP devices.
• Support the retrieval, review of radio network KPIs and report the findings as needed to ensure optimal performance
• Maintain and expand knowledge of all things related to scripting (Python,VBA,other) support for automation of repetitive data retrieval used in NJT Radio System Performance statistics.
• Maintain all ongoing project and data files as per client management guidelines.
SCHEDULED TASKS: Assist in ongoing DAS upgrade projects by providing testing and vendor contractor status progress reports.
Support RF interference mitigations: Assist in resolution of client site RF operation interference, analyze root causes, identify the optimal resolution to resolve RF interferences, from too much time delay, co-channel interference, adjacent channel interference, spurious emission, front-end overload/inadequate filtering, enhance client radio network performance and RF coverage. o Support the maintenance of the Police Department Radio VOIP network system. Keep all architectural diagrams and IP documentation to aid network failure troubleshooting, testing, upgrade, current.
Support drive testing of client radio system site locations statewide for RF coverage analysis.
Identify client bus radio network vendor SW new release problems, inter vendor feature incompatibility problems to improve network performance.
Perform client radio system failure troubleshooting, testing, repair/replace failed components to ensure the radio system continuous operation and minimize any radio operation service interruption in a timely manner.
Perform GOB Lab equipment testing before field deployment of radio equipment.
Support radio system testing for RF optimization after any DAS or LMR radio system upgrades.
Monitor TE DAS and BDA alarm status and administer the repair of any failures in a timely manner.
