Job Description

As a Project Engineer at OpusV, you will be expected to manage a project's engineering and technical aspects. This includes coordinating with various teams, managing schedules, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and providing technical guidance to team members.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a detailed project plan that includes timelines, required resources, and risk assessments.
  • Design and implement new network solutions.
  • Improve efficiency of existing network/s.
  • Install, configure and support of network equipment (Switches, Routers, Servers, WAN Accelerators, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Configure firewalls, routing and switching to maximize efficiency and security.
  • Ongoing monitoring, troubleshooting and maintenance of the network.
  • Arranging scheduled updates and outage windows.
  • Reporting and communicating network status to relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide feedback on feasibility of technical design.
  • Design and implement a test plan to verify function of designs.
  • Lead a team on implementation of the technical solution.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the project team members.
  • Coordinate with various teams, including design, manufacturing, construction, and maintenance teams, to ensure project goals are met.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, technical specifications, and change orders.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and vendors.
  • Maintain accurate timesheets.
  • Install, configure and support operating systems (Microsoft Server/Desktop, Linux, Hypervisor).
  • Administration & management of Azure environments.
Requirements
  • Qualification in IT or Computer Science Engineering or commensurate experience. Minimum of 5 years' experience on significant projects and complex technical problem solving.
  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in Australia.
  • This position is open to Australian/New Zealand Citizens and permanent residents, or those with unrestricted work rights.
  • Unrestricted Work Visa holders: You may only be considered for a fixed term period of employment that does not exceed your visa term.
  • Must be able to attend the Melbourne Office at least 3 days a week.
