Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic, target-driven, and industry-experienced Business Development Manager to drive business growth in the Household Goods (HHG) and Fine Arts Relocation segment. The role involves generating new business, managing client relationships, handling end-to-end sales cycles, and ensuring high-quality service delivery in coordination with operations.


The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of domestic and international relocation services, including packing, shipping, customs coordination, and specialized handling of high-value items such as fine arts.


Key Areas of Responsibility


1. Business Development & Revenue Generation

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in: Household Goods (Domestic & International Relocation) Fine Arts logistics (Galleries, Museums, Collectors, Auction Houses)
  • Generate leads through: Corporate tie-ups, Channel partners, Direct client acquisition
  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets
  • Expand client base and increase market penetration

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with: Corporate clients (HR, Admin teams), HNI clients for premium relocation services, Art galleries, curators, and collectors
  • Understand client requirements and provide customized relocation solutions
  • Ensure high client satisfaction and repeat business

3. Sales Cycle Management

  • Handle end-to-end sales process: Lead generation, Requirement analysis, Site surveys (virtual/physical), Quotation preparation, Negotiation and closure
  • Coordinate with operations for feasibility and pricing inputs
  • Ensure timely follow-up and closure of deals

4. Quotation & Pricing Coordination

  • Prepare competitive and accurate cost estimates based on: Volume, distance, mode of transport (air/sea/road), Special handling requirements (fragile, high-value items)
  • Coordinate with pricing and operations teams for complex moves
  • Ensure profitability and margin control

5. Fine Arts Logistics Handling

  • Manage sales for specialized Fine Arts logistics including Paintings, sculptures, antiques, and exhibitions
  • Understand requirements for: Custom crating, Climate-controlled transportation, Insurance and risk management
  • Coordinate with specialized vendors for art handling

6. Coordination with Operations

  • Ensure smooth handover of confirmed jobs to operations team
  • Follow up till completion of movement
  • Resolve customer concerns during transit
  • Ensure SLA adherence and service excellence

7. Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Track market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies
  • Identify new business segments and growth opportunities
  • Suggest improvements in sales strategies and service offerings

8. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of: Leads and conversions, Client interactions, Revenue pipeline
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports
  • Update CRM systems regularly


Education and Background

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Logistics, or related field
  • 3-6 years of experience in: Relocation industry (HHG / International moving preferred), Logistics / supply chain / fine arts logistics
  • Strong understanding of: Domestic & international relocation processes, Freight forwarding (Air/Sea) basics, Customs clearance procedures
