Quick Overview
Job Description
JD:
Full Stack - 50% Java backend, 50% frontend. The candidate's skills will be utilized depending on the work. Sometimes they might focus on UI work. Sometimes they might do backend-focused work.
Newer Angular versions are desired.
Project: The project is in the CIO vertical and is called the CICO project, which deals with Cash In Cash Out. The application is in production but we have a lot of new work. We want to fill this position as soon as possible.
Responsibilities include taking a story, getting clarification if needed (as all details are already available on the story), connecting with the Product Analyst/Product Owner and Tech Lead for clarifications and independently delivering on that story: coding, unit and integration testing, deploying to the non-prod environment, performing manual testing, ensuring there are no security findings, addressing findings based on pipeline reports, and preparing the story for the next production deployment.
We are looking for soft skills such as being a team player, the ability to cooperate and collaborate with others, providing suggestions, and being open to constructive feedback.
For backend testing, we are looking for JUnit, and for integration/functional testing we are looking for Cucumber. Frontend testing - Cypress.
AWS, EKS/Kubernetes: On a day to day basis, there is not much interaction with AWS. All our infrastructure is provisioned on AWS. Exposure to AWS is recommended but if the candidate is strong in all the other aspects of the tech stack, we would be okay.
Should have knowledge of AWS because our infrastructure is provisioned there when we run our pipelines.
EKS: Knowledge is good to have. We don't have EKS locally, but the non-prod environments run on EKS. Troubleshooting skills on EKS are required.
