Job Description

Leading Investment Manager | London | Excellent Opportunity & Package

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a highly successful and growing UK investment management business in a newly created Product Analyst position, working across an established and significant tax-efficient investment proposition.

Working closely with senior leadership, you will gain exposure across the full product lifecycle, combining product strategy and development, commercial and competitor analysis, product performance, governance and adviser engagement.

The role

You will help develop, manage and grow the firm’s tax-efficient investment propositions, with responsibilities including:

  1. Supporting the development and launch of new products and enhancements to existing propositions
  2. Monitoring product performance, key commercial metrics and market trends
  3. Conducting competitor, market and commercial analysis to support strategic decision-making
  4. Developing detailed product, investment and technical knowledge and becoming an internal source of expertise
  5. Monitoring developments including UK Budgets, inheritance tax, Business Relief and relevant FCA regulation
  6. Supporting Sales, Marketing, Strategic Partnerships and Client Services with product information, analysis and technical queries
  7. Producing product data, presentations, briefing materials and due-diligence information
  8. Supporting adviser-facing events and the development of product and sales content
  9. Helping coordinate ongoing product governance and oversight

Who we’re looking for

This could suit someone from a product, investment, tax, accountancy, legal, technical or analytical financial-services background who is looking to develop broader commercial and product-management expertise.

You should be:

  1. Commercially minded, analytical and numerically strong
  2. Intellectually curious, proactive and comfortable challenging existing ways of working
  3. A confident communicator, capable of working with stakeholders at all levels
  4. Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple workstreams
  5. Strong in Microsoft Excel, with an interest in using technology and AI to improve analysis and processes

A relevant qualification or experience within tax, accountancy or law would be particularly welcomed.

Knowledge of tax-efficient investments, Business Relief, VCTs, EIS, UK personal taxation, investments or the UK financial adviser/wealth-management market would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Why consider it?

This is much broader than a traditional analyst position. You will gain significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to develop expertise across investments, taxation, product strategy, commercial performance and product management.

As your experience develops, you will have the opportunity to take increasing ownership of product initiatives and play a meaningful role in the future development and growth of an important investment proposition.
