Site Engineer

Site Engineer / Section Engineer Location: Major Infrastructure Project, West Midlands The Opportunity A leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Site Engineer and Section Engineer to support the delivery of a major UK infrastructure project. These are immediate requirements offering the opportunity to work on a high-profile scheme with the potential for a longer-term contract. Site Engineer Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site engineering activities.
• Carry out setting out and surveying duties.
• Ensure site teams have the required information, resources and equipment.
• Update machine control models as required.
• Produce Task Briefing Sheets (TBS).
• Coordinate and order site materials.
• Maintain accurate daily site diaries and records.
• Support the safe and efficient delivery of works. Section Engineer Responsibilities
• Provide technical leadership and support to Site Engineers and apprentices.
• Produce and manage three-week look-ahead programmes.
• Review site requirements and coordinate material orders based on engineer quantifications.
• Attend coordination and planning meetings with the wider project team.
• Oversee daily site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.
• Mentor junior engineers and help drive project performance. Requirements
• SMSTS qualification (essential).
• Strong background in civil engineering projects.
• Extensive experience delivering roadworks, drainage and earthworks packages.
• Excellent planning, coordination and communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel independently to site.
• Previous experience on major infrastructure projects is advantageous but not essential
