Job Description

Position Summary Odyssey has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Acquisition Program Systems Engineer supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Armament Directorate Munitions Division (AFLCMC/EBH) at Hill AFB, UT. Our Systems Engineers apply and execute the following technical processes: requirements definition and analysis, architecture design, implementation, integration, verification and validation, transition, decision analysis, technical planning, technical assessment, requirements management, risk management, configuration management, technical data management, and interface management. Responsibilities Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Support systems engineering activities across all phases of the DoD acquisition lifecycle (Materiel Solution Analysis through Operations && Support)
  • Support requirements development, analysis, traceability, and verification
  • Conduct system design, integration, and technical analysis activities
  • Develop and review technical documentation, including specifications, interface documents, and engineering reports
  • Support technical reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR) and program milestone activities
  • Collaborate with program management, logistics, test, and cybersecurity teams to ensure integrated system performance
  • Analyze system performance and recommend design or process improvements
  • Support risk identification, analysis, and mitigation planning
  • Provide technical input to acquisition documentation and program decision-making Qualifications Minimum Required Qualifications: Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen Clearance: Current Top Secret clearance Education and experience:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in related discipline and 20 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science degree in related discipline and 15 years of relevant experience; OR PhD in related discipline and 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience supporting DoD acquisition programs or similar engineering environments
  • Experience supporting system development, integration, and/or sustainment activities
  • Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS or similar) and modeling tools (SysML or similar)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Top Secret clearance
  • Undergraduate and/or graduate engineering degree from a college or university with an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering program.
  • Experience with armament systems (air-to-air, air-to-surface munitions, missiles, or related systems)
  • Knowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle processes and DoDI 5000 series Additionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following: Technical Skills
  • Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) and modeling tools (e.g., SysML)
  • Risk management and technical problem-solving
  • Configuration management and technical documentation Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to operate independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to support complex, mission-critical programs
